Corrections get priority
If a number here is wrong, that is the most useful message we can receive. Tell us the page and the figure, and if you have the source that contradicts us, include it. The fix is published with a note saying what changed and when.
What we cannot do
- Advise you on your own situation. We are not licensed to, and doing it responsibly would require information we should not be asking for by email. Nothing we send back constitutes financial, legal, insurance or tax advice.
- Review your policy, loan estimate or credit report. Please do not email documents containing account numbers, dates of birth, or anything else that identifies you. If you send them, they get deleted unread.
- Intervene with a lender, insurer or servicer. We have no relationship with them and no standing on your behalf. The relevant state regulator or the CFPB does.
- Accept guest posts or link placements. No exceptions, regardless of how the offer is worded.
Privacy of what you send
Emails are read and kept only as long as needed to answer them, then deleted. Nothing you send is added to a mailing list, shared with an advertiser, or used in a guide with anything identifying you in it. If a message raises a question worth answering publicly, we ask you first. The privacy policy covers the rest.

The calculators print their assumptions under every result, which is usually where an unexpected number comes from.
