Cookie Policy
This site sets no cookies of its own for tracking. The ones you will encounter here come from advertising and analytics, and this page names them and tells you how to switch them off.

A cookie is a small text file a site or its partners store in your browser so something can be remembered between requests. Some are essential to serving a page at all. Most of the rest, on most of the web, exist to sell advertising. It is worth knowing which is which.
What we set ourselves
Nothing for tracking or advertising. There is no account system here, no newsletter, no preference we need to remember, and no first-party tracking cookie. The calculators hold your inputs in the page’s memory while you use them and discard everything when the tab closes, no cookie, no storage, no transmission.

Vendors update their own cookie names and durations without telling publishers. The categories above are stable; the specific names are not, which is why they are not listed as if they were permanent.
Advertising cookies in detail
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve adverts based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can turn personalised advertising off without giving anything up on this site:
- Google Ads Settings switches off ad personalisation across Google’s network.
- aboutads.info/choices is the industry opt-out for participating US vendors.
- NAI opt-out covers Network Advertising Initiative members.
- youronlinechoices.eu is the European equivalent.
Opting out does not remove advertising. It makes the advertising generic. The site works identically either way, there is no paywall here and no feature that depends on being tracked.
Blocking or clearing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you block third-party cookies entirely, which is a stronger measure than any single opt-out link:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Prevent cross-site tracking (on by default).
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection → Strict.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
- Any browser: a private or incognito window discards cookies when you close it.
Blocking third-party cookies will not break this site. It may break sites that rely on them for logins, which is worth knowing before you set it globally.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not run our own cross-site tracking, so there is nothing on our side for a Do Not Track header to switch off. Where a browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, participating ad vendors are expected to honour it as an opt-out of sale or sharing. That handling sits with the vendor rather than with us.
Changes and questions
